As a member of NASCH (see Home Section), the Club is required to keep certain information relating to its members. This means that you will need to give us some personal details about yourself. This would be needed at the time of application as a member and would include name and address, date of birth, any medications taken, disabilities, allergies and wheelchair use. A copy of the application form is available for downloading (see the foot of this page).
In addition, we must have an emergency contact number in the event of an accident or illness when we might need to make contact with a doctor or hospital on your behalf. The information that you give us will be treated in the strictest confidence and only the Club chairman, treasurer and secretary would have access to it.
For insurance purposes we are obliged to hold a fully completed application form for each member. Failure to return a completed form would put the Club in breach of its insurance terms and conditions.
You can download the application form using the links below:
Want to Volunteer?
As a helper in the water
If you would like to volunteer to help swimmers in the water we would be glad to hear from you. You would need to have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and have no convictions for offences against a person in order to carry out helping swimmers.
As a committee member
Currently our committee consists of 4 volunteers and 3 member swimmers. We meet formally for an AGM once a year and at other times as necessary, so the commitment is not too onerous. If you would like to join us, please speak to one of the committee members shown above.
